Jennifer Steil

Jennifer Steil is an award-winning queer author who lives in many countries. Her newest novel, Exile Music (Viking 2020), follows Jewish musicians who flee Vienna in 1939 to seek refuge in the Bolivian Andes. Her previous novel, The Ambassador’s Wife, won the William Faulkner-William Wisdom Best Novel award and was shortlisted for the Bisexual Book Award. Her first book, The Woman Who Fell From the Sky, is a memoir about running the Yemen Observer newspaper. She’s writing a novel about underground LGBTQ artists.
