
Reuben “Tihi” Hayslett is a queer writer, storyteller, activist, and author of Orbital Bebop from Running WIld Press. His first book, Dark Corners, was named Best Fiction of 2019 by Kirkus. His short stories have been included in The Surreal South Anthology 2011, Oregon Literary Review, Splinter Generation, and more. Hayslett currently works as the Executive Director of the Center for Story-based Strategy, a California non-profit that seeks to build the capacity of progressive left activists to incorporate narrative into campaign strategies for social change. An Iowa native, Hayslett has lived all over the United States, with community ties in New York City and Los Angeles. He currently lives in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with his pet cat, Mengo.
