Joby Mire

Joby Mire is a graduate student of creative writing in the genre of poetry at the University of New Orleans. Joby was born and raised in the Acadiana region of Louisiana and now resides in New Orleans, after having spent years living in Southern California. Additionally, he has studied English literature, with an emphasis in the early modern period, at California State University, Long Beach. His greatest poetic influences are John Milton, William Blake, W.B. Yeats, Robert Duncan, James Merrill, and Rebecca Tamás.
