Lance Ringel’s novels, Flower of Iowa, about an American soldier and a British soldier who fall in love during World War 1, and Floridian Nights, about a gay widower who finds but resists new love with a younger man, were Finalists in consecutive years for the Lambda Literary Award in Gay Romance. His plays, In Love with the Arrow Collar Man, about illustrator J.C. Leyendecker and his model/lover Charles Beach, and Flash/Frozen, about champion skaters whose lives fatefully intersect around the 1961 plane crash that killed the entire U.S. Figure Skating World Team, both have had successful New York runs.
