Douglas Sadownick, PhD, is the author of Sacred Lips of the Bronx and Healing Gay Sex and Love. For more than thirty years he has worked at the intersection of psychotherapy, community organizing, and cultural writing about the inner life of queer people. His AIDS-era novel Sacred Lips of the Bronx, exploring the intersection of gay and Jewish experience, has been reissued by Rebel Satori Press in a 30-year commemorative edition. His psychological novel Healing Gay Sex and Love: A Group Experience, edited by the late Felice Picano, grows out of decades of group therapy and performance work. Sadownick founded the LGBT Specialization in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles. His next book, The G+Q MAP: A Gay Guide to the Gay Hero’s Journey, appears in April.
