Dan Vera

Dan Vera is a Washington, DC based writer, editor, and literary historian. Recipient of the Oscar Wilde Award for Poetry and the Letras Latinas/Red Hen Poetry Prize, he’s the co-editor of Imaniman: Poets Writing In The Anzaldúan Borderlands and author of The Space Between Our Danger and Delight, Speaking Wiri Wiri, and the forthcoming Celestial Fire: Songs of A Love That Dares. His poems appear in high school textbooks and university curricula, various journals and in various anthologies including most recently The Library of America’s Latino Poetry Anthology. He publishes others through 81 Names Press and Souvenir Spoon Books.
